Get Your Knit Together!

In this 4-week beginner knitting course, you'll learn fundamental techniques like casting on, knit and purl stitches, binding off, and basic pattern reading. You will make a beginner scarf, hat or hand warmers!

The class is 90 minutes each week, with handouts and homework/practice to complete at home.

Come to class with:
1 ball of washable, worsted weight wool or acrylic blend that is machine washable. Solid or variegated.
1 wooden circular needle, 16" in length, size 8.
Bring a good pair of scissors and your best readers/eyeglasses.

(Just FYI for the curious, we are using a circular needle, since the straight ones get harder and harder to find. A 16" circular can be used to knit flat items, and also you could make a hat. It's a good idea to get used to circular needles early on, since they are quickly becoming the only way to go).
