Albert Gapud

Dr. Gapud received his Ph.D in Physics from the University of Kansas in 1999, and served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory until 2005, when he became a professor at the University of South Alabama Department of Physics. He has served here for more than sixteen years, and has taught conceptual astronomy for the last seven. Though a condensed-matter physicist specializing in superconductors and materials with exotic electromagnetic properties he, like most physicists of all stripes, has always maintained an interest and expertise in astrophysics.
