In the Becoming Alabama course offered in October, John Jackson, historian and director of the Foley Public Library, discussed the influence of the Spanish and French on the development of our state. In this course, he will explore the last and most influential colonization effort - the British Initiative. This course is offered through Discover! An Institute for Learning in Retirement at the University of South Alabama, Gulf Coast Campus.
