The Estate Planning and Probate course introduces students to the fundamentals of Last Will and Testaments, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and the probate process. The topics covered will include: interviewing, estate planning, probate law and mechanics, ethics in estate planning and probate law, estate planning tools, drafting, and tax issues in estate planning and probate law.

Kirk Rose
Kirk Rose was born and raised in Western Kentucky. He began his law enforcement career in the Greater St. Louis, Missouri area in 1997 and left that career to pursue a law degree in 2009. He graduated magna cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Lindenwood University in 2010. In 2014, he graduated summa cum laude from the Appalachian School of Law. After law school, he passed the Kentucky Bar Exam and accepted his first attorney position to help indigent clients accused of criminal offenses with the Department of Public Advocacy. In 2017, he accepted a position with the Jefferson County Commonwealth Attorney's Office in Louisville, Kentucky prosecuting felony crimes. In March 2020, he and his wife moved to Mobile, Alabama, where he accepted a position with the Mobile County District Attorney's Office, where he is currently assigned to the Charging Unit. He screens and charges every felony case presented for prosecution in Mobile County, Alabama. Kirk Rose is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the State of Alabama.
