A key element of a superior photograph is good composition. This can be defined by a number of tools such as pattern, symmetry, texture or depth of field that is used to create a unique, yet satisfying image. The objective of this course is to understand the tools used in composition and adding ways of constructing an image. In this one-day session, half a day shooting images in Downtown Mobile, while the other half will be spent in the classroom creating and putting together the elements of the image to create the desired photograph.
Class will meet for classroom time on the USA campus first. Then, the instructor will lead the class to Downtown Mobile for a photo session mid-day near Beinville Square. The day will end with a second classroom session back at USA to wrap up.
