The timeless CANTERBURY TALES by Geoffrey Chaucer parade past the modern reader the greatest portrait gallery in the long history of English Literature. The characters’ roles, status and personal stories perfectly reflect the hierarchy of society during the late Middle Ages in England--1385-1400. But the personalities—the human foibles, the ironies, the humor, the variety—would be right at home at a Mardi Gras parade in the 21st Century.

Join Maurice Gandy as he leads students through this great portrait gallery of literature!
