Today, the stress for "diversity," "multiculturalism," and individuality seems ubiquitous and is portrayed as a brand-new attitude in understanding the world. History shows, however, that multiculturalism has a very long history. Through an exploration of historical documents, this six-week course will strip away countries' national histories to reveal a far more complex and patchwork story. In our quest to uncover a multitude of cultures and characters in this course, we will also uncover the question, "Is today's multiculturalism really new?" Join us for the answer to this question.
Fee: $50.00
Hours:9.00
