In this course students will learn how to improvise light modifiers to produce classic black and white and color portraits. Class is taught in the classroom and on location in a hands-on learning style. The instructor will use several do-it-yourself techniques and photography hacks to improve the student's ability to make a quality outdoor photo. Tips on editing in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop will be reviewed as another tool available to enhance and improve images. Students will work together in small groups, utilizing improvised tools to practice outdoor photography techniques indifferent lighting. Lecture will be kept to a minimum as this course is focused on the techniques needed to produce off camera flash portraits with minimal equipment.
