Steve Diaz is a 6th degree Master Instructor in the Korean Martial Art of Soo Bahk Do. His history in the art involves 35 years of unbroken participation both as a practitioner and as an instructor. As an instructor he has guided over 50 students to the rank of 1st dan (degree) midnight blue belt (the art has no black belt). In addition to this, he has instructed literally over a thousand students in this 35 year time frame, beginning in 1975 as a high school student Karate club instructor. At USA Master Diaz teaches a dedicated group of advanced students on Saturday mornings, along with a new beginner group each semester. Soo Bahk Do it a traditional martial art, incorporating both mental and physical disciplines of the science and philosophy of martial artistry. The training emphasizes the 5 Moo Do (Martial art) values of History, Tradition, Philosophy, Discipline/Respect, and Technique. |
